Brody's turn

IT'S BRODY'S TURN

We had a nutrition apt. for Landon and while there the Dr. said Brody didn't look very good. he checked his oxygen and it was 93% so we didn't worry. then while we were still at the Dr's Brody fell asleep and his skin by his eyes started turning blue. the dr. checked his oxygen again and it had dropped to 80% so they got him a oxygen tankand sent us to the ER. Well that was Thursday at 9:00 AM. We found out he has a virus that is alot like RSV and until they get his oxygen controled we will be here. He's had fevers as high as 102.5 and oxygen as low as the seventies. They nebulize him every so often and they use this little tube to suck all the snot out of his nose. It's sad!

Well here we go again down another branch of the tree trying to figure out what's going on with Landon....
They had there 6 month apt. and for the most part everything went good. Brody is gettin big weighing over 16lbs. and smiley as ever. Landon only weighs 13.4 and after talking to the dr. about everything he decided it would be a good idea to have another dr. look at Landon. He choose a sleep specialist because one of the problems is he skips breath at night. So today was our apt. and I LOVE HER she was really good and made me feel like we might be gettin some where. She noticed that he has a really really small back mouth and that could be why he snores and skips breaths. If this is the problem it could actually be the answer to everything. She says that if he has to work this hard to breath at night that could mean that he is burning way to many calories at night which could be why he's so little. So we are going to do the sleep test and see what we find.
At this point we are just doing process of elimination. We also have a apt with a nutrtionist in March so if this sleep thing doesnt give us answers maybe they can. But through all of this he still has huge smiles and is a very happy little boy.

P.S. The dr. also said we could start rice cereal which Brody totally loves. Its fun to watch him try to eat it cause he doesnt really know what to do with it in his mouth. And with out fail he's a complete messy little man when done.

We love to sit and watch football, well everyone but Jackosn she's not really into football. It's funny because Brody will even cry during the commercials. Oh and did I mention that we won our 1st playoff game.

2009

We went to our friend bills house, it was kid friendly party so we packed up the wholr fam. By the time we got everyone and everything in the car me & Rob were pooped &joking around about how we were ready for bed. It takes alot to get everyone ready.

Brody crashed at about 10:30 and so did Landon but then Landon realized he was missin the party so he woke up and was bright eyes at midnight. Jackson hadcfriends there to play with so we didn't really see her much.(I guess that's what happens when ur a big 12 year old)

So our night was fun and the boys survived theior 1st New Years!!!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Soooo sorry it's been so long

With the holiday's it's been crazy busy. So here's the update on the family...
Jackson got her first 100% on spelling and they were hard words that i honestly couldnt spell. She is getting tall and becoming a beaytiful young women. (of course with a teen attitude.) Brody is getting bigger and bigger everyday he weigh's 14 lbs 10 oz. he is usally really happy and just figured out his tounge yesturday. It"s funny cause he will get gigglin so hard that it gives him the hickups. Landon is are worry child. He only weighs 11 lbs 3 oz witch is way to small for his age. He went in on Monday to the dr. and the dr. sent him up to PCMC to have some test done. This was scary cause one of the test was a sweat test to see if he had cystic fibrosis. We started all the test at a little past 2:00pm first the send shock wave like things into both legs for 5 min. then they put little pieces of cotton where he got shocked then they wrap his legs with cello wrap then like a stretchy tape. He has to be bundled like this for 1/2 hour so that the cotton can absorb the sweat. We didn't get the results till Wednesday, and YEAH they came back normal. So did all his blood work. So now it's off to the F.U.N. clinic witch is a nutrtionist. But no cystic fibrosis wich was such a relif to hear. I can honestly say i cried myself to sleep worring about the little guy!

The boys are getting to where they will smile at ya and play with little toys. they are so fun and finally everyone is feelin better!

He is so funny, if his eyes are open he thinks you should either be holding him or feeding him. I didnt even know you could get rolls where he has rolls.

Landon was havin some trouble keepin food down so he was a little to skinny. So once again we called the Dr. who might I add nicknamed me SYCHO! lol, he put him on another medicine and changed his formula to what we call liquid gold since it's $25.99 a little can. But well worth it, he's eating good and keepin it down and I think there might even be a little roll comin in under the chin.

How fun you can tell the boys are havin so much fun they can barley handle it!

They got to see the sheep & a huge pirate ship, they even tried on their first cowboy hats with their sister Jackson. They even got to mingle with the crowd and watch the rotiserre chickens go around and around. Well here's some of the photos just in case they forget!!!!

WE COULDN'T FIND ANY UTES CLOTHS IN THEIR SIZE SO I GOT SOME FABRIC MARKERS AND MADE THEM THESE ONEZIES. ADD SOOME CUTE LITTLE RED SOCKS AND WE WERE SET TO GO.

this is how it all started......

Its been so crazy how all the sudden our family of 3 turned into a family of 5. We have been trying to adopt for about a year through A Act Of Love adoption agency. We were havin some problems with them because we were only showed really expensive cases. So we set up a appointment with the owner and our case worker to talk about how we felt, the apt. was set for Tues. the 22nd. I was on the verge of giving up. I was at work talking to Margret Tues. morning about my frustration and she said there was a customer names Stacy that adopted and it only took her 2 months. Funny thing is later that day she happen top come into the store and I was able to talk to her. She gave me the name of the owner of the adoption agency she went through, her name was Jane, Stacy wanted me to at lest call her. We had the meeting and homestly I didn't feel too much better.
So Wed. morning off to work I went. I got a call from Stacy telling me I needed to call Jane and I needed to call her soon. I talked to Jane at about 2:00pm on Wed. the 23rd, she said they had a situation were there was twin boys in Arizona and wanted to know if we were intrested. Of course I quickly got emotional but didn't want to get my hopes up, so we continued to talk about the situation and everything that would need to happen. Since we were going to have to switch adoption agencies I had alot of questions including what would happen if the mom choose a diffrent family, which so far is all that i have ever been told. She very bluntly said Emily I think all things happen for a reason and if you tell me you want these boys they are yours for sure!!!!! I broke into tears and just then Rob walked in to my store. he had the same concerns so when i told him they for sure would be ours we got busy on paper work.
The next morning me, Rob & my mom were on a plane to Phoenix, Arizona to pick up our twin baby boys. I spent a total of 19 days there beacuse they were premie so they had to stay in the hospital. Rob went home but came and visited on the weekends. It felt like I was there forever and it was so hot and so humid there was even big monsoons.
But now we are all home and loving our new family!!!! It's a crazy story and it's been a busy road here but well worth it. We named them Brody Leon and Landon David.
